How we met
Like most modern love stories, ours started on the internet.
Blythe was perhaps overly-confident in her ability to craft a costume that would attract and impress a future mate. Nick had a more targeted approach—he’d only reach out to someone if he saw that they had shown a common interest on their profile. After a week of messaging back and forth, they confirmed neither was a catfish using Facebook, then decided to meet up for falafel and a black & white movie. Both were nervous but had a reasonably good time, so they decided to meet again to see if they could get past the first date jitters. The next week, they bonded over mini golf and Ethiopian food—sharing stories about the things they have in common including loving and large families, appreciation for inventive music, and social justice.
