FAQs
What time should I arrive?
Plan to arrive at Hollins House between 3PM and 3:30PM in order to do a COVID-19 check before entering the venue.
What should I wear?
The suggested dress code for this wedding is creative black tie. This basically translates to very formal attire with some creative or personal touches. You might wear a tuxedo with a paisley blazer, a sequined jumpsuit, or an evening gown in a fun color. Go ahead and wear whatever makes you feel festive and fancy.
Will the event be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be held outdoors. Dancing will take place indoors. There are restrooms and a full bar inside of the Hollins House as well.
Do I need to worry about rain?
Historically, it’s extremely unlikely that it will rain on October 1st. However, it is likely to be very warm in the afternoon and cooler in the evening, so you may want to dress in a lightweight outfit and bring a blazer or wrap for later.
What if I get hungry?
There will be light snacks during the cocktail hour at 4:30PM, a full buffet dinner at 5:40PM, and cake served just after 7PM. The food served will be completely vegan.
Will there be anything to drink?
In addition to soft drinks and water, we’ll be providing beer and wine for guests. There will be an attended bar with cocktails and hard liquor available for purchase—please come prepared with cash if you would like to take advantage of this service. Coffee will be served with cake later in the evening.
Can I tag you on social media?
Yes, we’d love to see your pictures! You can make these easier for us and others to find by using our main hashtag #nickandblythe or our secondary hashtags #marriedatfirstblythe and #redmanandwife.
